Did it work when running an earlier kernel version or an earlier
version of Debian?

Why do you say the chip is problematic?  Why is the lm75 driver even
loaded?  That shouldn't happen automatically and is not necessary as
the BIOS should manage fan speed by itself.

We prefer that you use 'reportbug' which will run our own scripts to
gather information.

What is the kernel command line?  (It's in /proc/cmdline)
