Bug#814965: initramfs-tools: Creates corrupt initrd when /etc/initramfs-tools is versioned by SVN (.svn subdirs)
Package: initramfs-tools
Version: 0.120
Severity: critical
Justification: breaks the whole system
Dear Maintainer,
this happened after running an 'update-initramfs -u -k all'.
The system became unbootable with the following message:
Begin: Running /scripts/init-premount ... /init: .: line 210: can't open '/scripts/init-premount/ORDER'
I found the 'problem' or what solved it in this forum post: http://forums.debian.net/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=125545
I also had the directory versioned by SVN, and after removing the .svn subdirectories and creating a new initramfs
yet again, the system booted normally again.
