In order to get this change upstream, some small changes are needed. The full documentation for preparing patches for Linx is: <https://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentation/SubmittingPatches>. But basically the following changes are needed: - Include your explanation at the top - Make the diff from the directory above the kernel source, so that the filenames are something like: --- linux/drivers/input/mouse/elantech.c +++ linux.modified/drivers/input/mouse/elantech.c Of course you can also edit the patch to make them look like that without having two full source trees. - Add the Developer's Certificate of Origin (section 11 of the document linked above) Ben. -- Ben Hutchings Tomorrow will be cancelled due to lack of interest.
