Bug#804864: linux-image-4.2.0-1-amd64: Windows compatible SoC Button Array - please enable
Package: src:linux
Version: 4.2.5-1
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
I have installed debian-testing on an intel-baytrail-system (hp pavilion x2 10,
model 2015) using the multiarch image (64 bit OS, 32 bit UEFI). The device is
detachable, the talet has a couple of buttons for controlling volume, etc.
Theese buttons are not working with the debian standard kernel. This is a
problem when using gnome as no "Activity" (Windows)-key is available on the
tablet.
I found, that enabling the kernel options KEYBOARD_GPIO and
INPUT_SOC_BUTTON_ARRAY enables (some) of the buttons, especially the Activity
key.
I would expect the buttons to work "out of the box" without having to compile
an own kernel.
Sincerely yours, Thomas
