Package: firmware-bnx2x
Version: 0.43
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

Installed experimental 3.19 kernel on jessie host with a bnx2x ethernet card, and update-initramfs couldn't find appropriate firmware, leading to inability to boot this kernel with network access. Hacked around it locally by manually installing updated upstream firmware from https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/firmware/linux-firmware.git/tree/bnx2x into /lib/firmware/ manually. The new driver/firmware versions (bnx2x-*-7.10.51.0.fw) are required by the bnx2x driver in kernel 3.18 and higher.
