[...] This was previously reported as <https://bugs.debian.org/742226> and a workaround is mentioned there ('setarch x86_64 --uname-2.6 iceweasel'). But I don't think it is at all easy to find that workaround. I am loath to change back to 3 components for the sake of an application which should instead be fixed. I also realise that Debian is unusual in not including a third dotted component in the kernel version. But if we did add that component back it would be meaningless (as it is in '3.2.0' in wheezy) and may confuse people into thinking that stable updates are not included. (If you wonder why the 3rd component shouldn't change, see <http://penta.debconf.org/dc13_schedule/events/1017.en.html>.) Has anyone tried reporting this problem to the bank?
