Bug#736130: linux-image-3.12-1-powerpc64 crashes during shutdown of PowerPC G5 Mac. But PowerPC g4 Mac (23-bit) works OK.

Thanks, Ben, for the very quick response!

I'd love to do that. But I don't have a serial console for this machine (no serial port -- it's a PowerMac "MacPro" G5, 64-bit CPU) and the messages logged at crash time scroll off the screen too fast for me to copy them down (or even photograph).

I'll make a photograph of the last screen's worth of messages and send that to the bug, if you think that will help.

Do you know of any way to get more information than that? I'd really like to help get this bug fixed (I've got plans for this machine but I can't go forward with them until I can reboot it reliably)

Does it help any that the G4 (32-bit CPU) sitting right beside it, running an identical software setup, reboots just fine?
