Yes, it is the first version with which there are freezes.
II tried to apply a patch but it doesn't approach.

$ patch -i ../revert-pci-acpi-report-aspm-support-to-bios-if-not-disabled.patch
(Stripping trailing CRs from patch.)
can't find file to patch at input line 7
Perhaps you should have used the -p or --strip option?
