No, because backports is for newer stuff. Linux 2.6 is only in
oldstable and snapshot.debian.org now.

So the problem occurs with this motherboard and network card, but seems
independent of recent kernel changes. I think this is a BIOS or
hardware incompatibility problem, not a kernel bug. Please report this
to the motherboard vendor. I don't intend to investigate this further,
but feel free to add more information to this report if you think there
is something we can do to fix the problem.
