I did also see the message from bug 50011 (" Will use DMA mode even
though HW doesn't fully claim to support it.") occasionally after
messing things up with the setpci calls from above. This message never
appeared isolated for me though, but only in conjunction with "error
-110 whilst initialising SD card".

Bug 43370 does does not seem to deal with the same issue, given my
reader is detected, and also reports back when a card was inserted.


By the way: I tried another card today (same type, same manufacturer)
which seems to work fine. The "bad" card, however, works without
problems at all on my Rasperry Pi.
