You reported this against linux-image-3.2.0-3-powerpc64, version
3.2.23-1 but you were running linux-image-3.2.0-4-powerpc64 (presumably
version 3.2.32-1). Do they both have this problem?

Please send the boot log (from /var/log/dmesg), which should provide
some clues as to why this is failing.
