Bug#647741: still occurs in 3.2.15-1
AFAIK, I haven't seen such a freeze for several weeks. If some bug
has been fixed in the kernel, it must be between 3.2.15 and 3.2.20.
The other possible change in the system I can see is that tmpfs is
no longer used for /tmp (after 2012-06-11).
