Under discussion[1]. Not in drm-intel-next yet[2].
I suspect a different, more targetted patch[3] would do a better job
of addressing the described use case:
1c8ecf80fdee4e "drm/i915: do not enable RC6p on Sandy Bridge", 2012-02-14
It can be found in the drm-intel-fixes tree[4].
