Bug#658670: 3w-9xxx abnormally slows the system down

Dear Jonathan,

the speed regression was introduced between
linux-image-3.0.0-2-amd64_3.0.0-6_amd64 and
linux-image-3.1.0-rc4-amd64_3.1.0~rc4-1~experimental.1_amd64. Hope
