Hi Ben,

I didn't use hibernate on this system before, so I cannot say whether it
worked there with lenny.

But I just tried to hibernate (to disk) in squeeze (kernel 2.6.32-5-686 with
command hibernate) and hibernate/resume worked correctly, but wake-on-LAN
does not work (like in power-off case). The LEDs at the ethernet-connector are
off and the system does not start on a magic packet.

Then I checked "hibernate-ram" (to ram) with the same configuration. There I
had a little problem that the video-output (just console, no X installed on
system) was not active after resume (which might be corrected by some
specific resume-hooks), but the rest of the system was operational. In
addition wake-on-LAN worked, the LEDs were active and I could resume the
system from suspend to ram with the magic packet.

So the problem occurs only when the system is powered off completely.

Bye,
Mark
