Bug#640972: linux-image-2.6.32-5-amd64: SATA errors every ~30sec "ata##: hard resetting link... SATA link down (SStatus 0 SControl 300/310)... EH Complete"

Am I correct in observing that these errors are for SATA channels that
aren't connected to anything inside the ExpressCard? (This is a
sealed ExpressCard SSD.)

If so, is there a way to tell the kernel to ignore them?

It does appear that the card works significantly (say 20%) slower on
Linux than on Win7. Could the time spent resetting the device be
related to this slowdown? (I would do further testing on the Windows
side, but I don't have Win7 installed any longer; I had installed it
to do a BIOS update.)
