Thanks for testing.  Re (2), the first question is where it is
hanging.  Does booting without the broadcom and bluetooth drivers work
any better?  If you can get into a rescue shell with the
"break=modules" commandline parameter, it might be possible to get a
backtrace during the hang, like so:

	echo 1 >/proc/sys/kernel/sysrq
	... trigger the hang ...
	alt+sysrq, C (or D, or T, whatever makes sense)

initramfs-tools(8) and Documentation/sysrq.txt have details.

Let's make this bug about (2).  Could you file a separate bug for (1)?
