Package: linux-2.6
Version: 2.6.38-3
Severity: normal

This seems to be the same as http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=614566

When booting with modeset=1, the screen flickers constantly, showing the real
content only for one in ~15 seconds. Booting with modeset=0 works.

I've also attached a dmesg log where modesetting was enabled.

Thanks for your time and work, if there's anything else I can do to help, please yell!

Best Regards, David

Version: 2.6.39~rc4-1~experimental.1

Hi,

I've retested this with the new image from experimental and modeset=1 now leads to text console in native resolution of my monitor and X works as expected with switching between the two without any flicker.

Thanks for your time and work,
David
