Package: linux-2.6 Version: 2.6.38-3 Severity: normalThis seems to be the same as http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=614566When booting with modeset=1, the screen flickers constantly, showing the realcontent only for one in ~15 seconds. Booting with modeset=0 works. I've also attached a dmesg log where modesetting was enabled.Thanks for your time and work, if there's anything else I can do to help, please yell!Best Regards, David -- Package-specific info: ** Version:Linux version 2.6.38-2-amd64 (Debian 2.6.38-3) (ben@decadent.org.uk) (gcc version 4.4.5 (Debian 4.4.5-15) ) #1 SMP Thu Apr 7 04:28:07 UTC 2011** Command line: BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-2.6.38-2-amd64 root=/dev/mapper/debian-debian ro ** Not tainted ** Kernel log:[ 2.101025] scsi 3:0:0:0: Direct-Access ATA SAMSUNG HD502IJ 1AA0 PQ: 0 ANSI: 5[ 2.272132] usb 5-2: New USB device found, idVendor=046d, idProduct=c00e[ 2.272170] usb 5-2: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0[ 2.272206] usb 5-2: Product: USB-PS/2 Optical Mouse [ 2.272240] usb 5-2: Manufacturer: Logitech[ 2.288329] input: Logitech USB-PS/2 Optical Mouse as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.0/usb5/5-2/5-2:1.0/input/input0 [ 2.288438] generic-usb 0003:046D:C00E.0003: input,hidraw0: USB HID v1.10 Mouse [Logitech USB-PS/2 Optical Mouse] on usb-0000:00:1d.0-2/input0[ 2.424027] ata7: SATA link down (SStatus 0 SControl 300) [ 2.744027] ata8: SATA link down (SStatus 0 SControl 300)[ 2.750095] sd 3:0:0:0: [sda] 976773168 512-byte logical blocks: (500 GB/465 GiB)[ 2.750179] sd 3:0:0:0: [sda] Write Protect is off [ 2.750212] sd 3:0:0:0: [sda] Mode Sense: 00 3a 00 00[ 2.750232] sd 3:0:0:0: [sda] Write cache: enabled, read cache: enabled, doesn't support DPO or FUA [ 2.776136] input: Microsoft Natural® Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.0/usb5/5-1/5-1:1.0/input/input1 [ 2.776261] microsoft 0003:045E:00DB.0001: input,hidraw1: USB HID v1.11 Keyboard [Microsoft Natural® Ergonomic Keyboard 4000] on usb-0000:00:1d.0-1/input0 [ 2.797323] input: Microsoft Natural® Ergonomic Keyboard 4000 as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:1d.0/usb5/5-1/5-1:1.1/input/input2 [ 2.797407] microsoft 0003:045E:00DB.0002: input,hidraw2: USB HID v1.11 Device [Microsoft Natural® Ergonomic Keyboard 4000] on usb-0000:00:1d.0-1/input1[ 2.801462] sda: sda1 sda2 sda3 < sda5 > [ 2.801834] sd 3:0:0:0: [sda] Attached SCSI disk[ 2.806000] sr0: scsi3-mmc drive: 94x/94x writer dvd-ram cd/rw xa/form2 cdda tray[ 2.806043] cdrom: Uniform CD-ROM driver Revision: 3.20 [ 2.806203] sr 0:0:0:0: Attached scsi CD-ROM sr0 [ 2.810036] sr 0:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg0 type 5 [ 2.810173] sd 3:0:0:0: Attached scsi generic sg1 type 0 [ 3.259559] device-mapper: uevent: version 1.0.3[ 3.259711] device-mapper: ioctl: 4.19.1-ioctl (2011-01-07) initialised: dm-devel@redhat.com[ 3.426439] PM: Starting manual resume from disk [ 3.426476] PM: Hibernation image partition 254:1 present [ 3.426478] PM: Looking for hibernation image.
