Unfortunately, the aufs mount is needed because the root file system is 
shared (via NFS) between several servers. I could use a unionfs, if you 
think that it could be more stable.

As a side remark, the servers are used by many persons and it is 
difficult for me to reproduce the exact condition that generates the oops.
