Package: linux-image-2.6.30-2-amd64 Subject: linux-image-2.6.30-2-amd64: System with AMD Turion m540 hangs while loading APIC Version: 2.6.30-8squeeze1 Justification: breaks the whole system Severity: critical *** Please type your report below this line *** My brand new notebook HP Pavillion dv7-3129er based on AMD Turion II Mobile m540 hands while the kernel is loading APIC. The system boots well if I pass "noapic" kernel option. The same problem happens with linux-image-2.6.32-trunk-amd64. The linux-image-2.6.26 has no such problem. Ubuntu's linux-image-2.6.31 works well too. I've installed Debian Lenny 5.04 then made dist-upgrade to Squeeze.
