Bug#568367: doesn't work with kernel 2.6.35 from experimental

Hi,

I tried kernel 2.6.35 from experimental. Exact kernel version:
Linux 2.6.35-trunk-686 #1 SMP Tue Aug 17 14:30:48 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux

Dmesg output: (some messages concerning my DVD drive also appear every time
the stick was detected)

I use NetworkManager 0.8.1-2 to connect to mobile networks.

Before switching to debian I used Ubuntu 10.04 to connect. I used the standard
kernel shipped with Ubuntu. This Kernel is based on kernel 2.6.32.11.

I had to execute the following 2 commands to get the stick working:

sudo modprobe -r option usbserial
sudo modprobe -a option usbserial
This doesn't work on debian squeeze, even with kernel from experimental.

Maybe this is related to this topic:
http://www.draisberghof.de/usb_modeswitch/bb/viewtopic.php?t=309&sid=3766596d194890d34dbfd8563dfa4bc1

At the end someone tells that the stick automatically disconnects because of a
non-standard implementation of the usb protocol by huawei.
