Package: xserver-xorg-video-intel Version: 2:2.9.1-4 Severity: normal With this version and also experimental 2:2.11.0-1, on not one, but *two* Dell Mini 9 laptops, I have started seeing multiple types of screen corruption. * Twice, a blue screen of death, that appeared without warning while I was using just gnome-terminal and/or chromium-browser. Suspending and resuming cleared it up. * Occasionally the screen will go black for a minute, and come back, similar to past problems with reprobing the resolution unnecessarily. Does not happen much. * Sometimes on resume from suspend certian characters in gnome-terminal's font display with minor corruption. Like the lines of the 'k' not quite meeting in the middle. * Most frequently, I will be using gnome-terminal and an area of the screen will temporarily get corrupted. Like part of what is displayed on the left is displayed over on the right. Sometimes for just for a very short time, so the screen appears to flicker. Sometimes for longer, in which case it goes away when I hit enter or something in the terminal. It seems to be brought on by gnome-terminal scrolling, especially fast scrolling, and possibly also cleaned up by more scrolling. This has been going on for approximatly a week or two. I only switched my drive to the other laptop yesterday and have verified it's not broken video memory or something, since I quickly reproduced it on the other laptop. I suspect but am not sure that this started happening after a kernel upgrade. I'm fairly sure that the system does not start experiencing these problems until after I have suspended it (to ram), and resumed. -- Package-specific info: /var/lib/x11/X.roster does not exist. /var/lib/x11/X.md5sum does not exist.
