Package: linux-2.6
Version: 2.6.32-11
Severity: important

The intel wireless 5300 on my laptop TravelMate6293 does not work with 2.6.32 kernels. When I log in, the wireless link is connected, after a while (with not heavy traffic: ping) it disconnects itself and then it restores and breaks connection periodically after few (~30) seconds.

The problem can be similar to the bug #577559 with an intel 5100 card
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=577559,
but I think it is not the same. Upgrade to the 2.6.32-4 kernel did not help.

This problem appeared when I upgraded from the 2.6.30-2 kernel to the 2.6.32-3. The wireless card still works fine with the older kernel but not with the newer one.

I tried also original kernels compiled from sources from www.kernel.org and I found that my wireless works with kernels up to 2.6.30.10 and does not work with kernels from 2.6.31.1.

I think I use the latest firmware and default configuration. Information about my hardware and some relevant parts from kern.log are attached.

I would appreciate any suggestions or help. Thanks. Zdenek Matej
