Bug#526406: (no subject)

echo 64 > /sys/block/sdX/queue/max_sectors_kb
echo 512 > /sys/block/sdX/queue/nr_requests
blockdev --setra 2048 /dev/sdX

is what i've set. I'm running XFS on a 8x1TB raid5 on a 3ware 9550SX-16ML, dual opteron 265 with 5gb ram.

df -h:

/dev/sdb1 6.4T 3.9T 2.6T 61% /files

df -ih:

/dev/sdb1 6.4G 20M 6.3G 1% /files

I backed down to 2.6.28.7, and the system has been stable for almost 2 weeks... crashes in a day or two under 2.6.29.x Sounds like some sort of regression in 2.6.29.x with XFS to me.

The system is a backuppc server, so there's a VERY heavy disk load overnight as it does backups, with millions of hardlinks on the filesystem.
