Package: linux-image-2.6.26-1-amd64
Version: 2.6.26-3
Severity: important

2.6.25 also exhibited this behaviour (2.6.24 never has). the machine would just freeze. it usually happened with the lid closed, so the screen was black, but once it happened with the lid open, with an x server running, and i can't find any logs with a kernel panic or anything. only feedback i get is that the caps lock light flashes on my thinkpad. how can i find logs to help track down this problem?

thanks,
jayen
