The kernel DRM (3D acceleration) driver for Rage 128 requires a firmware file which is in the firmware-linux package. Installing that package should fix the problem. However, the driver is supposed to fail gracefully in the absence of the firmware file. Since I modified the driver to use external firmware, I will look into why this is not working as I intended. > I don't know which logs or info are the most useful to you to handle this bug, so don't hesitate to ask.
