Patch failure when changing patchlevels

Hi,

I'm in the process of updating kernel handbook for lenny, and in the
process discovered some patch problems. For example, when trying to
unapply patches to go from patchlevel '2' directly to 'orig', I get
the following:

jurij@droopy:/usr/src/linux-source-2.6.26$ cat version.Debian
2.6.26 2
jurij@droopy:/usr/src/linux-source-2.6.26$ sudo
/usr/src/kernel-patches/all/2.6.26/apply/debian orig
--> Try to unapply 1.
  (+) OK debian/include-userspace-compat.patch
  (+) OK bugfix/powerpc/lpar-console.patch
  (+) OK
bugfix/all/Input-i8042-add-Arima-Rioworks-HDAMB-board-to-nol.patch
1 out of 1 hunk FAILED -- saving rejects to file
drivers/misc/hpilo.c.rej
  (+) FAIL features/x86/drivers-hp_ilo.patch
Error: Patch failed

It appears that the script is trying first to unapply patch series 1
and then 2 (instead of correct order of 2 and then 1) and some patches
fail because of that. Running '.../apply/debian 1' followed by
'.../apply/debian orig' (i.e. switching patchlevels one by one) works
fine. Is it a bug or a feature?

Cheers.
