I elected to add "lenny" to sources and installed only the kernel and a
few modules, without any error.
I'm now running 2.6.24-7; Sound works as before (I am playing music), the
mixer behaves better but still the same bad guy: changing Master is allowed
now, but yet doesn't change actual volume (only PCM does).
