you can remove aboves added line although harmless..

ok thanks, so the thermal modules freezes your box. *arf*

ok please comment the line thermal linke in 
/usr/share/initramfs-tools/scripts/init-premount/thermal
regenerate initramfs as usual
update-initramfs -u -k <kernelversion>

and see how far boot goes now?
