Bug#482972: linux-image-2.6.24-1-amd64: 10 in 1 USB card reader doesn't work
Package: linux-image-2.6.24-1-amd64
Version: 2.6.24-7
Severity: normal
Hello guys,
this bug has been reported earlier by me, but now I'm running
Debian Lenny with a recent kernel, and the problem is still the same: My
10 in 1 USB Card Reader doesn't work with Debian. Whenever I plug my 2
GB SD Card on other computers or on another system supplied with my
computer, it works perfectly, but in Debian, I can't see more than the
file structure, reading from and writing to the card is impossible. I
suppose the reason lies within these lines that dmesg outputs when I
plug
the card reader:

1030 MB is definitely not correct. I'm not a USB expert, but maybe the
hardware sector size is not 512 Bytes but 1024? Just a suggestion, but
something definitely goes wrong in the usb-storage module. usbview shows
the following information about the card reader:
