not the bug report is a strange conversation with manoj about
kernel-package. we already stated x time that we don't maintain
kernel-package. also i have zero info from it what should be missing.

reality check on.
if "nobody" would be able to build external modules,
we would have the bts full of strange reports.
as a matter of fact it is possible.
the easy way to do it is module-assisstant. i already told that a year
ago and no i'm not keen keeping useless bugs open.

no real please use module-assisant and be happy.
kernel-package is even no longer a supported way to build linux-2.6
