The problems showing with initramfs-tools may be related to udev issues as seems to be the ruling theory in that bugreport. Alternatively the bug might be fixed in 2.6.14 as the note from Erik seems to say (the note quoted on the wiki page). > Guess we need other people testing to show the need ! for this. > > At first it _seemed_ ide-generic was needed, but more careful testing > showed it actually is not. Indeed. When tracking this down it might make sense to separate issues reported by users og yaird and initramfs-tools, since the later can be caused by udev problems. > [1] This BR is already linked from the wiki; maybe for the wrong > reasons (though I think it is relevant) I have extended the wiki page with details on the reasoning for including the bug. Please comment/correct if my understanding of the status of that bugreport is wrong. - Jonas -- * Jonas Smedegaard - idealist og Internet-arkitekt * Tlf.: +45 40843136 Website: http://dr.jones.dk/ - Enden er nær: http://www.shibumi.org/eoti.htm
