aboves output should be quite selfexplicative,
lilo fails on your box.

that is not an initramfs-tools bug, has nothing to do with 401764.
poke lilo maintainers or switch to grub.

this one is old there is 2.6.18 around.
anyway better solve your boot loader trouble first.
