Ok, I did this. I unpacked linux sources from tarball from
linux-source-2.6.16 (2.6.16-11bpo1) (sarge backport) for this time
and applied patch from link above.

zito@bobek:/usr/src/linux-source-2.6.16$ patch -p1 <../git-38223daa1aa98d0a6f35ba7addcfefc756a04f5e.patch
patching file sound/pci/cs4281.c
zito@bobek:/usr/src/linux-source-2.6.16$

I did configuration (config is attached) with timer 1kHz and kernel
module snd_cs4281.

Build linux-image package / install / reboot into it.

zito@bobek:~$ uname -a
Linux bobek 2.6.16zito #1 Mon May 15 12:44:28 CEST 2006 i686 GNU/Linux
zito@bobek:~$ cat /proc/asound/cards
 0 [CS4281 ]: CS4281 - Cirrus Logic CS4281
                      Cirrus Logic CS4281 at 0xfe020000, irq 5
zito@bobek:~$ cat /proc/asound/timers
G0: system timer : 1000.000us (10000000 ticks)
P0-0-0: PCM playback 0-0-0 : SLAVE
P0-0-1: PCM capture 0-0-1 : SLAVE

It seems to be ok, patch solved problem.
Thanks.
Regards
