Bug#366620: initramfs-tools: 2.6.16-1-powerpc fails to mount rootfs, 2.6.15-1-powerpc works

I tried yaird today. No luck same error message.

Also tried the installer floppies with 2.6.16 from here:
http://people.debian.org/~cjwatson/d-i/powerpc-miboot/2006-05-13/powerpc/floppy/boot.img
and it booted. The installer never detected the disk correctly though.
So it might be some kernel problem with ide disks on powerpc.
