Bug#293194: Hotplug hangs on boot with usbcore

As this has been resasigned I thought I'd include the output from lspci, the last boot messages, and the syslog from the last boot. These are at the end of this mail.

I've had this problem since installing Debian using the new DI with linux26 boot option. I recently upgraded the kernel image to kernel-image-2.6.8-2-386 and then kernel-image-2.6.8-2-686. All showed the same problem. The only boot option I had in my grub config was 'ide=nodma'. I did try pci=noacpi and acpi=off. neither helped. The machine has usb1.1 onboard and I have added a usb2 pci card. Usb devices are a usb external CDR, a usb to serial adapter, a usb mouse, and a usb multi-port card reader. All deviced appear to function ok.

I hope this additional info is of some help.

Kind Regards,
Patrick
