Kernel update for sarge?

Hi,

On the debian-kernel mailinglist kernel updates for sarge such as 
"2.6.8sarge1" and "2.6.8sarge2" are mentioned which fix quite a lot of 
(security) bugs.

But so far I haven't seen a DSA for a kernel update and there are no 
newer kernels available on security.debian.org.

Any idea on when a kernel update for sarge will be officialy available?

If it will still be based on 2.6.8 (which I guess it probably will), 
will drivers for newer hardware be backported or only security fixes?
