Bug#334398: Acknowledgement (kernel-image-2.6.12-1-k7: Filesystem corruption with sata_sil)

More infomation I should have included the first time:

  IDE Controller
  	Silicon Image 3112 - PCi:1095:3112 (rev 02)

  HardDisk : Seagate ST380013AS

I note that there seemed to be some trouble with trouble with
the combo upstream. I tried a raw destructive badblocks scan
on the drive and got about 10% of the drive back.

Interestingly enough the seems to be a 'harmonic pattern' to the
bad blocks.
 eg.
   perl -ne 'my $diff=$_-$last; $last=$_; print "$diff\n"' sda.bad

contains a lot of repeated patterns like:
   1
   1
   6
   24
   8
   24

(I've atatched this output as it's gzip substationally better than the
raw list. And the raw list can be reconstructed from it.).

Useful ( --dmesg | grep -A2 -B2 -E '(ata)|(ide)'--) dmesg output:-
