Bug#259901: kernel does not like persistent superblocks
I think you've addressed this in a previous update! You guys are the
greatest btw!!! I can do everything I need to do after updating and
rebuilding my initrd. Thanks again!!!

does your problem persist?
initrd-tools added since then more mdadm/lvm magic.
if yes please send your fstab and /proc/mounts.
