Proposal for kernel-modules directory (post-sarge)

-= Proposal for kernel-modules directory (post-sarge) =-

As you all know, Debian kernel modules reside in /usr/src/modules. I
would like to propose to change this to a more "apache-config-like"
behavoir, means having a directory /usr/src/modules-availible and
/usr/src/modules-enabled and doing symlinks to from first to second dir.

Advantages:
===========
 + gives the posibility to run "make-kpkg modules" and only
   build specified kernel-modules, without needing to delete the
   unwanted ones.
 + source of kernel-modules can be updated more easily.
 + source of kernel-modules do not reside in tar.gz or tar.bz2 in
   /usr/src any more (which is not standardised BTW).

Disadvantages:
==============
 + needs a change of every existing kernel-module-source package
 + needs a change of "kernel-package"

Greetings
