Bug#277855: kernel-source-2.6.8: fat does not recognise usb-memory
Package: kernel-source-2.6.8
Version: 2.6.8-7
Severity: important
After mounting a usb-memory the fat system is not recognised.
# dosfsck /dev/sda1
dosfsck 2.10, 22 Sep 2003, FAT32, LFN
Currently, only 1 or 2 FATs are supported, not 191.
The same usb-memory gives the following on a 2.6.5 Debian
# dosfsck /dev/sda1
dosfsck 2.10, 22 Sep 2003, FAT32, LFN
/dev/sda1: 4 files, 276/31466 clusters
It also mounts correct on Windows XP and Windows 2000...
In syslog the following message is shown
