I'm not sure.
The description for the kernel-image-2.6-686 package says the following
processors are supported:
Pentium Pro/Celeron/Pentium II/Pentium III/Pentium IV
Doesn't list the K6. Since stable had it's own k6 package, I was
assuming that the i686 package wasn't compatible with the k6.
Is it?
