No.

I've tried a few times but Marcello has not been accepting updates for
ages.

The fact that it's included in 2.6.7 and on will have to be enough I'm
afraid. I spent quite a bit of time breaking up the patch for the 2.6
submission. Available time being in short supply I'm not keen to go there
again if I can avoid it.

I guess the other point in my defense is that the patch has been in use
for ages. The 2.6 submission was created from it and, as it developed,
updates have always been back ported.

The main reason I have asked is that, to get full functionality from
autofs v4 (hopefully to make its way to stable before to long) then you
need either to run 2.6.7+ or apply the patch to a 2.4 kernel. Having it
included in the source tree is clearly the least problematic for people
using the package and for us maintainers. The other packaging options are
also time consuming to implement.
