Package: kernel
Severity: normal

Second attempt to load module aic79xx causes the following:
# modprobe aic79xx
kobject_register failed for aic79xx (-17)
 [<c01b32db>] kobject_register+0x5b/0x60
 [<c02068e0>] bus_add_driver+0x50/0xc0

 [<f8a6d725>] ahd_linux_detect+0x45/0x90 [aic79xx]
 [<f882400f>] ahd_linux_init+0xf/0x24 [aic79xx]
 [<c013a2f1>] sys_init_module+0x111/0x240
 [<c01061f9>] sysenter_past_esp+0x52/0x71

hotplug package seems to try to load aic79xx multiple times
which causes a boot failure. (Should I raise a bug report for
hotplug too?). Removing hotplug package allows normal boot.

This problem does not occur with 2.6.6-2 but does with
2.6.7 and 2.6.8

Two boot logs are included, one a failure with hotplug
the second with boot param: init=/bin/bash and a manual
load of aic79xx.
