Bug#261893: kernel-image-2.6.6-1-generic: Kernel bug at mm/slab.c:1530

I think the problem is in the ext3fs module.
The oops disappears if I hack my initrd to not attempt to mount the rootfs as ext3. This is done by removing "ext3" from FSTYPES in /etc/linuxrc.conf inside the initrd.

Unfortunately, if "ext2" is in /proc/filesystems, then mkinitrd will try to mount as ext3, ext2.
"ext2" is not a module, so always present.

Hmm. Can you add 'initcall_debug' to your command line please?

Here's the dmesg output. But I think the oops is triggered after the various initcalls.
The initrd has FSTYPES=ext3,ext2,iso9660,xfs,cramfs in /etc/linuxrc.conf
