As far as powerpc is concerned, the -benh tree which is used in the package
has really been stopped since 2.4.25. I asked benh if he would consider a
2.4.27 merge, but he didn't seem hot on it, which i understand. I can try a
forward port of the 2.4.26 patches though.

Anyway, powerpc is defaulting to 2.6 kernels anyway, so ...
