Version: 2.3.1-70

Hi Bdale,

MAKEDEV by default won't create /dev/fd on sparc. Because I'm
transitioning sparc kernels to use an initial ramdisk mkinitrd won't
work unless this exists. Patch is attached to make it do so.

Of course, the Right Thing To Do might be to use /proc/self/fd, in which
case feel free to reassign this to initrd-tools. After all, they're the
same..

Thanks,

     - Add support for user mode linux (UML) ubd devices, thanks to Matt
       Zimmerman (closes: #257373).
     - Don't fail if root is on LVM and "command_names = 1" is set in

   * Joshua Kwan
     - Clean up rules a little bit.
     - Apply my own patch to fall back on /proc/self/fd if /dev/fd is not
