Bruno, please follow up with a wishlist bug on BTS and add the patch.
If you tag subject with [PATCH] a la LKML, it could also help IMHO.
Do not rely on this list for patch submission, it could be lost
in the whole traffic...

I can add that this is a problem for _both_ 2.6 and 2.4.
That patch is a ri-edition of an old patch that was present in
2.4.20 and should solve the issue as well as nolapic, but surely
it's more clean than weird kernel params :)

Moreover, it should be send to acpi folks for upstream inclusion.

Thoughts?
