That worked.
I needed to (re)move the "plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc" file...
user$ cd ~/.config
user$ mv plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc
plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc.bak
