How can I get my particular font configuration? I can tell you how I
have configured libfreetype, how I have configured fontconfig, how I
have configured KDE and how I configured .Xresources to have a
consistent look across all programs but nothing more. Everything works
fine except that text labels in Qt applications. The problem seems to
be bold text is rendered without any hinting at all, so it is rendered
broken but I can't go further neither I can confirm this is exactly
what is happening. It's only my guessing.
